Module five Chapter 11

.The theme of  chapter 11 is Design from Landscape and includes preparatory work for the Resolve sample. I chose the topic of peat. It is obvious, since I live in an area of former peat colonies. As in the last two chapters I made ​​collages of the paper works and the corresponding  photo as a source of inspiration.

eine neue Mitgliedschaft

Auf der yahoo.com/group/sofaquilter habe ich erstmals vom Blog der Lieselfriends und ihren derzeitigen BOM erfahren .Da ich die entschleunigende Wirkung der Handnäherei liebe, hatte ich beschlossen ,mich an deren Bloggerei zu beteiligen.. Und hier meine Stammdaten:Geboren 1947 in Hamburg ,Promovierte Ärztin im Ruhestand, lebt in Ostfriesland sehr ländlich mit Ehemann, einer Labradorhündin, einer Rauhhaardackeline, 3 Singsittichen, 3 Hühnern und einem Hahn.Seit 2000 Beschäftigung mit Textilkunst, zunächst traditionelle Quilts in den letzten fünf Jahren zeitgenössische textile Arbeiten mit Schwerpunkt Freies Sticken.
Meine derzeitigen Handnähprojekte:
Patchwork OThe Cross, ALsampler und Liesel BOM( mit dem habe ich allerdings noch nicht angefangen habe

2011  habe ich diese Blöcke genäht. Im Moment sind die Eckblöcke fertiggestellt und ich arbeite am Mittelteil

 der erste POTC Block wurde zu einem romantischen Kissen aus meinen restlichen Rosenstoffen verarbeitet
The very first  POTC piece I worked a romantique pillow with my last rose fabrics. It is a combination of needlework and machine quilting.

On the yahoo.com / group / sofaquilter  I first heard about the blog of Liesel Friends and their current BOM. I love the decelerating effect of hand-sewing, so I had decided to participate in their activity. 
 And here are my master data: Born in Hamburg in 1947, a doctorate doctor retired, lives in East Friesland in a rural area with her husband, a Labrador, a wireheard dachshund, 3 parakeets, 3 chickens and a rooster.Since 2000 I occupied myself with textile art, first traditional quilts in the past five years  contemporary textile works with main focus free stitching.
