Herbststimmung- Autumn Mood

Ich habe in der letzten Zeit ein bißchen mit meiner Photoshopbeschäftigung geschlampt .Die Aufgabe Day 64 von Beyond the Layer hat mich angesprochen und ich habe sie mit diesem Foto umgesetzt.

Hund , Fahrrad, Ausflug, Spätherbst

Es macht wieder Spaß... das Radfahren mit dem neuen Fahrrad mit E-Bike Unterstützung. Dank Letzterem habe ich sogar gelernt den ostfriesischen Gegenwind zu lieben. Und Gretel genießt die Ausflüge mit mir. Diese Fotos sind Schnappschüsse des letzten Ausflugs, wo ich mich hoffnungslos verfranst hatte.  Am Ende eines aufgeweichten Trampelfades entlang des Südertiefes endete dieser an einem Stacheldraht und versperrte mir den Zugang zur Straße. Und das nach mühseligen Schieben meines Rades durch den Matsch. manche Wege in Ostfriesland enden eben manchmal im Nirgendwo.

It is fun again ... cycling with the new bike with e-bike support. Thanks to latter I've even learned to love the East Frisian headwind.And Gretel enjoys the tours with me.
These photos are snapshots of the last trip where I was hopelessly lost. At the end of a muddy beaten track along the Southshore Deep this ended on a barbed wire and blocking my access to the street. And that after I pushing my bike exhaustingly through the mud. In Ostfriesland some ways end sometimes just nowhere.

Module six Chapter eight

Chapter eight

The tasks of this chapter have been the hardest for me. I'm  slinking not just for days but over a few weeks like a cat around the bush. I have had  no plan as I have to implement words that describe my  feeling in connection with my theme in an abstract form   . Finally a visit with my girlfriend and her expert advice helped me get started. She had studied art and textile design, and told me that their high school graduates who chose art as a performance specialist, had to bother with similar tasks The pitiable student!
But first, the slightly lighter requirements:

In addition to the completion of the work samples, I deal frequently with my final asessment, in my thoughts, with drawings, designs on the PC, work samples on cloth and paper. My topic will be: The crumbling of livelihood. This in consequence of global warming by rising CO2 emissions as a result of the sell of natural resources for economic reasons .I want to fix my fears and anxieties on the example Iceland: The crumbling rocks, heat pipes, and pressure gauge pointer in the danger zone as a symbol of impending collapse of livelihoods, the puffins, I want to represent of becoming as a paler dream, because its existence is threatened

This is a copy of a page from my Scetchbook. The page I created so right on a gut without thinking much. I thought about my impressions of the disillusionment that attacked me at our second hike Iceland. I had the impression that Iceland should be sold to the tourists. At the Blue Lagoon found coach buses no place with the many day visitors from the giant passenger ships. At the two checkout were formed huge queues. Instead of drawing I tried several print techniques with different marks and shapes.
A rubbing over  a stamp whose lines are meant to imitate the waves of the water surface

a screen print with torn strips of paper as a resist. I like these shapes and the colors. However, they are random products. I just spread the thickened Procion residue on the screen.

I used a paper stencil as a resist for this screen printingThis screen offers some opportunities for further design with, for example, machine embroidery, also regardless of my current project. The same goes for the previous picture

This Mail Merge was created by deconstructed screen printing. The left image is the preprint. With the screen and thickened Procion dye was squeegeed over a template made ​​of acetate on the fabric. The color had to dry completely on the back of the screen. The template was then removed and during the following printing the color  was little by little dissolved by  the printing paste
I can certainly use this effect for my assessment

In this picture I show the very important elements for my topic : the puffin, a detail of the Icelandic map, the Lándnáma book , the sign which belongs to the helm of Agir, the image of a power plant ,the mountain woman ,a known symbol of the Icelandic poetry.

Module VI chapter seven

  First of all I used the water soluble vlies Avalon. But I was not happy about the result, because the water-soluble fabric tore after a few embroidery stitches. The tension, however, had held because the fleece was clamped into a hoop.

Module VI chapter 6

Chapter six
 For the cutwork samples I had to machine stitch areas of several  fabric layers. Patches of fabrics will be cut back and or melted back to reveal the surface below. Some developed designs in chapter 2 are considered as starting point for the exercises in this chapter

Left you can see the starting point  for the cutwork. The lowest layer is dyed linen embroidered with granitestitch in the shapes. Next came a layer of embroidered organza. Here, I saved the area  in the shapes of the first layer. I carefully melted the organza with a heat gun.

The lowest layer is a machine embroidered work sample from the previous chapter. This I covered with dyed cotton and cut shapes into and burned the edges partially. Then I sewed a painted plastic sheet on top in which I also melted holes. The work sample looks very special and the final result wasn’t predictable ... A surprise result. However, for a background it seemed me too uneasy.

I am proud of the outcome of this study sample. I like how the wavy marks continue in the forms of embroidered silk

Module VI chapter five

 I had to look at my drawings to translate them into free machine stitchery.

  For the next example I used a very stretchy jersey fabric. Actually, I wanted to sew once a T-shirt with it..... However, the pattern matched very well with the circles in the water that you get when you throw a stone into it. For the example above I have not stretched the fabric during embroidery. The other piece of fabric I had very high tension in the hoop

The material of the next work sample is Polyestherchiffon. I had the transparent material colored a little. I used acrylic paint for the monoprint,. I took the discrete pattern as a guide for machine embroidery

In this study sample is suspected no background fabric for machine embroidery. But in fact, I embroidered on organza with the multicoloured yarn  in the bobbin and a matching colored cotton thread as upper thread

Angefangen hat diese Aktivität damit, daß mein lieber Ehemann mir eine  viel zu enge Jeanshose von sich auf meinen Arbeitstisch geknallt hatte mit der Bemerkung er habe es satt diese Hose immer wieder in seinem Kleiderschrank zu finden . und bem Anprobieren das frustrane Erlebnis wiederholt zu erleben, daß seine viel geliebte Jeans offenbar geschrumpft ist und der Bauch keinen Platz mehr findet.Mit der Schere zerteilte ich das ehemals gute Stück, um von vorn herein auszuschließen, daß meine Hausfrauenperle Claudia , sie wieder in den Kleiderschrank einsortiert.
Ein Teil der Jeansfragmente und ein zerschnittenes Freizeithemd ,aus dem die Flecken eines japanischen Teebaumfirnis nicht mehr nach mehrmaliger Wäsche zu entfernen waren, wurden zu einer witzigen Jeanstasche weiter verarbeitet. Zunächst nur für meine Tochter Julia und da ich auch nicht zu kurz kommen wollte ,auch für mich

This activity has started with the fact that my dear husband had popped his far too narrow  jeans on my work table with the remark that he had had enough to find these pants again and again in his wardrobe.when trying on clothes he haverepeatedly  had   the frustrane experience that his beloved jeans had been apparently shrunk and the belly could n't find no more room. To rule out a priori that  my domestic help Claudia,  sorted back into the closet., I divided the formerly good piece with the scissor.
